No matter where you are in Austria, after you call our team, experienced staff will be with you in no time to support you in this difficult situation.
Islam requires that the deceased be buried promptly. For this reason, our fund relies on experienced partners to handle all official matters in Austria as quickly as possible and to enable the fastest possible burial in Austria or repatriation abroad, while taking into account all customs, traditions and Islamic requirements. All applications are made to hospitals, the Ministry of Health, and health examiners.

Emergency assistance in case of bereavement

Formalities and administrative procedures
- All administrative matters are handled quickly and efficiently.
- Application for the death certificate at the respective registry office.
- If the member passes away in the hospital: Our partners will take care of organizing the necessary documents and information.
- If the member passes away at home: The doctor and the police will be notified by our cooperating partners, who will also take care of all necessary steps until the body is collected.
- Required documents in the event of a death: In the event of a death, family members or close relatives need to provide the following documents: passport, marriage certificate (if married). Until all required documents are complete, the necessary steps cannot be finalized.
Religious duties
- Our partners provide washrooms or washing facilities for ritual washing: Our partners take care of arranging for the Imam cleric for the ritual washing and funeral prayer.

- Washing All Muslims who have lost a loved one will want to carry out their burial in a religious manner. In order to enable them to do so, we meticulously follow the regulations of Islam and the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon Him) in carrying out our work. According to the rules of Islam, the washing of the deceased can only be done by a Muslim. Female deceased are washed by women and male deceased are washed by a Gassal (a person who specializes in washing the deceased). According to the guidelines of Islam, the deceased are washed three times from head to toe. This procedure uses warm water and soap. The washing takes place in the so-called Gassal rooms, where only Muslim deceased are washed. If desired, male relatives can participate in washing a male deceased, and female relatives can participate in washing a female deceased.
- The burial process According to Islamic belief, the body is laid on the right side in the grave. If desired, the family members can assist in the placing of the body in the grave. The filling of the earth can be done by our partner, or if desired, by the family members.
- Funeral prayer Following this, the prayer is performed according to the beliefs of the deceased’s denomination.
Transportation of the deceased

Our partners will arrange for the repatriation of the deceased abroad, including a medical certificate (if required) stating that the body poses no health risks.
